period

Ok, so I am stressed in these days because I have to meet new possible faltmates and I am all alone home and I have to clean and bla bla…

Yesterday it was the first day of my period, and for the first time in my life I almost forget to have it! I mean, I put the tampon, and hours later, instead of the annoying cramps…nothing!

I guess this has something to do with the fact that I ate raw for the 70% of this week’s meals :D

Smoothies made my week, I a happy and more clean than ever!!

The Owl-Girl: If you can afford to buy food then you can afford to be vegan.

that-queer-feminist-boy:

I have to disagree…the only reason I could afford vegetarian chicken-stuff was cause it happened to be on sale…it’s pretty expensive stuff where I live :/

If you have the PRIVILEGE to live in an area with fresh fruit and veg and lots of food…

Please look up the terms “food desert,” “Celiac disease.”

Do you have coeliac disease…? I’ve known more than one vegan with coeliac disease. I, myself, don’t eat pasta, wheat or soy milk for almost 5 days a week…it would be not so difficult to do it for 7 days a week, not for a vegan.

About food desert, please google the medium price of a steak and the medium price of a can of beans. The price of cheese and the price of an apple. The price of a precooked pasta with and the price of a kg. of rice.

Cutting animal products is the best way to spare money and increase health even when not using organic products. If non organic, vegetables and cereals are ALWAYS cheaper than meat, milk, cheese and precooked meals. It’s not about money, you’r excuse it’s not valid.

In Bits and Pieces: Food guilt

randomlycastle:

There is enough guilt being thrown around over what people eat, and even more at mothers for what they give their child.

Rather then say “you’re feeding your child urine, pus, poo, etc if they’re not vegan”, how about sharing some ideas on what can help parents make better choices? How about saying that the meat farming industry cares more about how much meat they can get off an animal then what goes into it, and because of that there are things in much of the meat supply that you probably wouldn’t feed your child.

Or what about saying what kinds of meat are better then others? For example, if you go to your local farmer’s market or small business butcher, you could ask them about the meat they use and find something that’s better for you and your family then supermarket brands.

Not everyone is able to be vegan, so seriously, share ideas rather then guilt

No. No. No. And no again.

1) Everyone can be a vegan.

2) We share tons of informations and alternatives, you just see the “guilt” part because it gives you an excuse to attack us and perpetuate your destructive and lazy lifestyle.

Do you know what’s funny about epic meal time?

jkne: Becoming Vegan

jkne:

I understand that living a vegan lifestyle is not something that is done overnight. It has taken me months to find alternative foods and get used to the idea. I have grown up in a society where meat and dairy consumption has been advertised as normal human behaviour and something that everyone should be feeding themselves with to survive, which of course is a myth.

Giving up the readily available milk chocolate has been the most challenging thing for me, and the last thing left. Thankfully there are dairy free milk chocolate alternatives, but I’m really starting to love dark chocolate instead. :)

I love all the things you can do with vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, fruits, roots, etc. So much more variety, textures and nutrition than meat.

If you look at cookery programs, they are obsessed with meat! Every dish, going with tradition, must have some kind of cooked animal on the plate. After practising vegan for a while it seems people don’t look outside of what they’ve been brought up with and insist a meal must have meat for them to be satisfied. In actual fact those people have likely not tried a month or two just eating things that have grown from the ground, with no animals or anything coming from animals.

Finding that I could eat tasty, fulfilling food grown in the ground knowing that no animal had been harmed in the process has been a very uplifting and liberating discovery. I can survive, and enjoy good food, with better nutrition without causing harm or suffering.

Eating food has never been so good! My life has never been so ethically sound. I am being as compassionate as I always wanted to be, looking after the life and planet around me and my body.

It feels very good and I recommend it! I understand now why many vegans want to tell everyone that they are vegan.

So I’ve asked a bunch of people for tips on going vegan. Such as what to look out for, how often to shop, daily nutritional intake, etc. But everyone’s ignored me. I figured they’d be more than happy to help someone stop eating animals, but I guess not. Oh well. I’m going to just have to figure it out myself. As of today, no more animals.

Try ask me :) I’m vegan since 2010 and I can give you some advices if you make precise questions :)

U.S. Vegan Population Doubles in Only Two Years

veganeurotica:

This is incredible.  But my guess is that a much larger percentage of the population will be mostly vegan sooner than this article projects because of the rising price of animal based foods.  We can only hope that animal based foods won’t be further subsidized.

Fresh herbs from the garden =) Obviously fresh herbs taste better.
Can you guess what they are?

Rosemary, parsley, thyme, sage, chive, and I cannot guess the one up at left…
Were the others right? :)

Poor Vegan Eats: Vegan Rice Salad

poorveganeats:

Very cheap, very tasty, very easy :)

Rice Salads can come in many versions, as you choose which the veggies in it will be.

All you need is:

  • rice (very cheap)
  • olive oil
  • a place where to cook and a pot
  • water
  • a pinch of salt
  • and a bunch of veggies, use what you prefer! Boiled corn (it’s cheap if in cans), olives, fresh tomatoes, leeves of basil, peas in cans, boiled carrots, boiled onion (cheap and give a lot of taste!)….just boil the veggies that need to, and chop everything in little pieces!

Put some water in a pot, bring to a boil, add a pinch of salt and put the rice in it. Let it boil and taste is sometimes till it’s cooked. Strain it and rinse it with cold water for some seconds.

Now just add the chopped veggies to the rice, add some olive oil, blend it all and EAT VEGAN! <3

Ice Age: Okay, this is what I have to say about vegan vs nonvegan: eat what you...

aviditaspersonal:

Okay, this is what I have to say about vegan vs nonvegan: eat what you want to fucking eat.
The fact that someone prefers not to eat meat over someone who does, does not make them better. Same goes for those who prefer eating meat over those who do not.
I wish you guys would get it in your heads that you both together are helping the earth. If everyone ate meat, we would not have enough resources. If everyone was vegan, there would be too much livestock running wild.
Guys, just fucking shut up and think about it. You are helping keep balance on this planet. So shake hands and grow up. It is annoying you all act so superficial about eating habits.

If everyone was vegan, there would be too much livestock running wild”

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAH omg I’m laughing so hard right now!!! oh god!
